The Duck & Rice

Hidden gems in West London are always a favourite!

Recently visited what was classified the best Chinese restaurant in Soho, I must admit there is some truth in that. it is not your average Chinese restaurant, as they have smoothly implemented an amazing concept of shared Asian infused dishes in the land of Bangers and Mash. We had a great upstairs table enjoying the Half Duck and Special Fried Rice- Depending on how much you eat I’d recommend you share the duck between two people as it does get quite overwhelming and is filling. The portion sizes are pretty big and I must say we underestimated the size of the rice bowls, again depending on how much you eat that can easily be shared between two! img_2708

The Special fried rice is definitely made with love as I have never tasted anything like it, it hit all the buds in my mouth and I was content. One thing I must warn you about is the Duck. When ordering, you are made aware by your Waiter that the duck comes at room temperature to avoid contamination. However with that being said the duck is not extremely cold, but is warm. I was slightly disappointed as I love hot food. Nevertheless it still tasted great so that made up for it.

All in all, its a great restaurant with a cosy, loud but fun atmosphere!

It is quite pricey so make sure you take your coins!
