Slim Chickens

Behold ladies and gentlemen, Slim Chickens have finally opened up their first UK branch.

They started with a mission to bring a dose of that southern hospitality to a fast, casual setting – serving fresh handmade food to the communities they serve, which they have executed really well! It can always be relied upon to provide flavour and variety.

img_1081The chicken strips are to die for, it was most definitely the first thing to go off my plate. The portion sizes are more than enough and you sure do get your moneys worth. I chose to go with the mix and match meal which includes, Texan toast, fries, honey BBQ wings, and some tenders.

Slim Chickens don’t only limit themselves to wings and tenders, other options include salads, wraps, burgers and waffles which are all fairly cheap!

The restaurant also do two types of desserts, ranging from Jar Desserts and Fried Pies. My friends and I decided to go with the Jar Desserts choosing the Chocolate Brownie and Strawberry Cheesecake flavour. Although they were nice we did find it quite overwhelming.

Overall Slim Chickens are a relatively small restaurant with great decor and amazing staff members. They also play some great Texan music which definitely reflects on the type of restaurant they are.
