Scoff & Banter

Do you like having dinner with a view? Then keep reading.

If you are interested in a taste of Britain, Scoff and Banter will do your belly just right. Although they have a fair variety of food on their menu, I decided to go with the Black pepper-crusted rib-eye steak, baby vine tomatoes and tenderstem broccoli, served with a green peppercorn sauce.

To wash it down, I ordered a Raspberry & Lychee SlingLychee which included juice, mint leaves, raspberries, lemon juice and soda.

Although the steak was not to my usual standards, the taste was manageable. The mocktail was also very refreshing and appealing to the tongue.

The restaurant had an elegant, classy and sophisticated aura as expected because of its location in London’s Canary Wharf. The scenic river-view facing the O2 Arena also makes your experience 10 times better, which compensates for the mediocre food.

Lastly, although staff members were not  judgemental, to avoid feeling out of place I would recommend the choice of a classy outfit to fit the scene of elegance.

All in all you get your money’s worth. Also to mention they are based in different locations and this one happens to be apart of one of Raddison Blu’s restaurants.

Location:  5 Fairmont Ave, Poplar, London E14 9PJ
